Smallville:Bloodlines Images

We already know that Smallville didn't know what to do with Kara last season and so banished her to the Phantom Zone.

Then we found out that they would bring her back in the episode 'Bloodlines' airing November 6th.

Now, I guess, we find out that the Phantom Zone is not a torturous wraith-like existence. Instead, at least from these pics from the Bloodline episode on Kryptonsite ( http://www.kryptonsite.com/bloodlinegallery1.htm ), the Zone looks sort of like Tatooine.

Uh .... yeah .... that doesn't make much sense.

Let me guess, she doesn't remember who she is.

Makes it that much easier for Clark to leave her abandoned there. Or maybe, as I am guessing, she lets Clark leave the Zone while she stays there because he is 'destined for greatness'.

Do you think she is about to tell Clark that 'Sand People always ride in single file to hide their numbers.'

Sigh ....

I do not expect this to be good. But what else is new?

i've actually found the smallville phantom zone to be quite interesting, with the contrast of the high technology kryptonians trapped inside. true, it does seem a bit star wars, but i think its better than the supergirl movie phantom zone

Oh well, at least she's not wearing short-shorts.

Thanks for the post. I suppose I should stay open-minded.

It just goes against all my preconceived notions of the PZ.

I will watch the episode and try to keep it all in a Smallville perspective.

Or the Miss Sweet Corn red teeny weeny bikini?

I am dreading this episode, I can hear her telling Clark "I'm gonna have Zod's baby cousin, this is a GOOD thing!"

Silly silly episode.

They won't give her the conclusion she deserves.

She was supposed to kill Kal El
Then she was a man stealer
Then she was a lackey for her father's clone and it's plot to marry Lara and rule the world
Then she lost her powers and memory
Then she was briefly the world's dumbest Gestapo agent in an alternate reality
Then she was beaten up by Brainiac on Krypton and shipped off to the Phantom Zone because GREEN ARROW is the next big thing on Smallville.

And still Kara by way of Laura Vandervoort SHONE in her every episode...upstaged the nigh moribund Welling in almost every scene.
We aren't getting closure because the producers hate the character and the writers are afraid of the character....simple as that.
I begin to think Supergirl will never break out of the comics, TPTB are either afraid of the character or embarrassed or something, it is their problem though not mine.

If this indeed proves to be true i'll be calling for their heads on a frickin' silver platter! And i'm NOT joking here either! No one and I mean NO ONE fucks with Kara Zor-El/Supergirl and expects to get away with it unscathed in my book!!!!

*Takes a deep breath and tries to calm down* In having had said just that i'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

While I love the passion, please no cursing on the blog as I would hope younger fans might find it and will be interested in hearing what us old timers think.

No worries Talos, I agree with your sentiment and never said anything about curses before.

I hope the episode will be better than we all seem to think.

I sincerely apologize about that. If i have to curse I'll just use stars instead if I feel an injustice being done to Supergirl in the future and I just have to vent because of it.

Again, my humblest apologies, anj.

wait a minute...

Why does she have corn rows? and is she wearing black leather?

Are they trying to reference the evil Supergirl Storyarc from the comics here?....

Nice cape though...

Good to have Smallville putting a spin on the Superman mythos.
